My design experience has included newspaper and magazine work, identity and logo creation, web design, wedding invitations and screenprinted stationery. I have a particular passion for design work that has a human touch, or where part of the project is crafted by hand.
After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia Journalism School with a Bachelor of Journalism — my emphasis was magazine design and editing — I went to work for a newspaper in Pocatello. There, at various times, I served as online editor, page designer, copy editor, magazine editor, reporter and utility player. As my enthusiasm for design grew and the opportunities to design for the newspaper shrank, I eventually left to work as an independent designer full-time, and to focus on my other venture, a screenprinted stationery company called Katie Blair Designs.
Since then, I've been thrilled at the opportunity to work on projects that have continued to develop my design talents, and I've been privileged enough to work with clients who value good design and quality products as much as I do.
